Cacao Experiences

Meet Cacao at Her Origin - A Gift for the Sacred Seed

Cacao is a sacred medicine that was gifted to humans from before the beginning of time. It is woven into everyday life and into every ceremony of the Bribri and Cabécar people. Here, you can meet Cacao at its origin in two ways: through a visit to an authentic spiritual center where cacao is part of ceremony and prayer, or through a hands-on experience at the Lodge — from seed to cup — alongside the story of how Cacao came into the world.
